At the Trustee meeting on 25th July we agreed that we will continue with meeting on Zoom as the Covid numbers in Oxfordshire are too high to allow us to resume face-to-face groups.
After four meetings with a set topic - the last one was Emotional regulation and Rejection Sensitivity - the next one is open to whatever you want to discuss or ask about. That's Tuesday June 29th. To join in email firstname.lastname@example.org for the zoom link.
Monthly topics for general discussion at the group have been 'Anxiety', 'Sleep', 'Who to tell about your ADHD, and what do you say.' Each have led to much conversation with helpful information shared. Importantly, participants also find understanding and acceptance in the group, no matter what age, occupation or life-style.
January 2021 Well, little did we know how quickly we would get used to using Zoom! We do miss the face to face meetings BUT many people are now able to join the discussions who would not have been able to attend the meetings in Eynsham. There's every likelihood that Zoom meetings will continue even when we are able to add face to face ones. Many topics are being covered and experiences shared. As medication crops up regularly we are arranging a special session on that. We have also added occasional sessions for Parents who have ADHD and have a regular monthly meeting for Parents of children with ADHD and for Adults with ADHD. Look out for the meeting for Partners and other family members too.
